Vasanthi Kumar is the co-founder and the managing Trustee of STRAW India, an animal welfare organization whose motto is “Animal Welfare through Education.” In a little over a decade, through their humane education programs, they have influenced over 20,000 children and launched them on their journey towards compassion for animals and care for the environment. Vasanthi individually has contributed contents relating to Empathy to School textbooks published by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) in India. On the International Women’s Day 2021, she was honored with a Women Achievers Award 2021, by the Environment Care and Research Foundation, New Delhi.
